The present invention relates to a composition comprising fish skin gelatin and oregano extract to produce films for coating foods and manufacturing packaging, wherein the composition can be in liquid form or in solid powder form that can be reconstituted in water to be applied on the surfaces of foods and capable of being subjected to biofilm manufacturing processes for food packaging.
