Planned Packagingâ??s product range â?? manufactured in part in ISO 8 cleanrooms â?? includes a variety of pre-made easy peel pouches, high-barrier foil films and semi-rigid materials for processing through thermoforming lines. The company is also introducing new 100% recyclable and biodegradable options. With the acquisition, Wasdell is adding to its own portfolio of blisters, prefilled syringes and pouches.
The Swindon-based group has been expanding over the years, both organically and through acquisitions. Wasdell invested around EUR 30m in a 6,500 mÂ² production site for pharmaceutical packaging in Dundalk / UK, which was completed at the end of 2018.
