Novolex brand Eco-Products introduces new compostable utensil line

Sustainable foodservice packaging provider Eco-Products has launched a new line of compostable utensils for the Cutlerease system. The new line includes Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI)-certified fork, knife or spoon.Waddington North America launched the compact patented Cutlerease dispenser earlier this year. The system reduces waste and offers one compostable utensil at a time. The system can hold up to 360 pieces of cutlery, saves space and reduces refill frequency at the same time. The restocking system requires no employees, batteries or electrical outlets. Eco-Products marketing director Sarah Martinez said: “Cutlerease’s innovative design dispenses clean, compostable cutlery one piece at a time, with the guest using the piece is the only one to touch the cutlery they are taking.
“This cuts waste saves money and offers foodservice operators another environmentally responsible option for their guests.”Eco-Products said that the Cutlerease system and the new line of compostable utensils are suitable to use at restaurants.Martinez added: “We are excited about compostable Cutlerease cutlery because it offers an excellent way to help food operators save resources and take another step toward zero waste.”A part of Novolex brand, Eco-Products is a Certified B corporation. It uses renewable and recycled resources to produce a range of single-use foodservice products such as plates, bowls, hot cups, cold cups, utensils, food containers, straws and more. Most of its products require fewer virgin resources and are environmentally sustainable.
